Blue Peter Appeal

EDM number 228 in 1991-92, proposed by Simon Hughes on 21/11/1991.

That this House congratulates the BBC television children's programme Blue Peter for their Golden Age Christmas Appeal for the elderly; notes that Blue Peter is collecting aluminium cans for recycling to raise appeal funds; hopes that the appeal will be record-breakingly successful as it will benefit both the elderly and the environment; and calls upon the Leader of the House to allow honourable Members as well as staff of the Palace of Westminster to contribute to the Blue Peter appeal by arranging for an aluminium can recycling collection point within the Palace precincts.
