Third Sector And The Roll-Out Of Universal Credit
EDM number 245 in 2017-19, proposed by Drew Hendry on 05/09/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Benefits policy, Charities, Incomes and poverty and Working age benefits.
That this House commends the work of Citizens Advice Scotland and the 20 other charities that have been working together to highlight the horrendous experiences of those people suffering as a direct result of the universal credit roll-out; praises the ongoing work of those organisations, and the wider third sector, in their efforts to help the thousands of families struggling financially as a result of universal credit; supports their calls for an immediate pause of the roll-out of universal credit; and urges the Government to work together with the third sector to solve the many problems associated with the roll-out of universal credit.
