Report Into Foreign Funding And Support Of Extremist Groups

EDM number 153 in 2017-19, proposed by Roger Godsiff on 11/07/2017.
Categorised under the topic of Terrorism.

That this House notes that the previous Prime Minister commissioned a report by the Home Office into the foreign funding of extremism and radicalisation in the UK, and that the report was given to the Prime Minister last year; further notes with concern that the report's findings have still not been made public; notes that the Home Office has stated that the Prime Minister is personally responsible for deciding whether to release this report, and that there have been cross-party calls for her to do so; remembers with sadness and concern the recent appalling terrorist attacks in the UK, in which a number of innocent people lost their lives or were seriously injured; believes that the Government must do all it can to stop foreign funding entering the UK to support violence and terrorism; and calls on the Prime Minister to release the report as a matter of urgency.
