That this House congratulates the staff and pupils of St James Primary in Renfrew for being recognised as the school reading the most books in the First Minister's Reading Challenge 2018; notes that the Reading Challenge 2018 aims to build on the work already taking place in schools across the country to encourage children to read widely, explore a range of books and develop a love of reading; recognises the dedication and hard work of retiring Head Teacher, Ms Margaret Convery, who has helped instil a love of reading within the school; and highlights the achievement of Primary 7 pupil Kieran Mitchell, who was awarded the pupil reading journey award in recognition of his transformation from reluctant reader to book lover.
