That this House congratulates Fr Michael Hutson and all the parishioners, past and present, of St Andrew's Church, Rothesay on the Isle of Bute on the occasion of the parish's sesquicentennial celebration, 150 years of the island's Roman Catholic community being officially recognised as a parish on Bute; acknowledges that the anniversary falls on 30 November, the same day as the Solemnity of Scotland's patron, St Andrew; that the anniversary will be marked that evening by a Mass, concelebrated by the Right Rev. Brian McGee, Bishop of Argyll and the Isles and the Right Rev. Joseph Toal, Bishop of Motherwell, himself formerly a priest at St Andrew's, Rothesay; commends the inter-faith, ecumenical work being done by all faith communities on the island; and wishes the parish of St Andrew's a successful future.
