That this House congratulates Derek McEwan from Cambuslang and Barry Cook from East Kilbride for completing the Enduroman Arch to Arc Triathlon; notes that this challenge involved Derek and Barry running from Marble Arch in London to Dover, then rowing from Dover to Calais and cycling onto the Arc de Triomphe in Paris; further notes that the purpose of this triathlon was to raise money for the Catherine McEwan Foundation, which was founded by Derek in memory of his mother who died of Crohn's disease; recognises that the Foundation raises money for Crohn's and Colitis UK and the Yorkhill Children's Charity, and have thus far raised in excess of £700,000 split between both charities; commends their ambition in hoping to raise a further £100,000 from this challenge alone; further congratulates the fundraisers, volunteers and supporters of the Catherine McEwan Foundation who have raised incredible sums for very worthwhile causes; and hopes that they can continue with their success for many years to come.
