That this House welcomes and congratulates the Federal Government of Canada on adopting in full the UN Declaration on Rights of lndigenous People; recognises the profound issues faced by the First Nations of Canada since European settlement; further recognises the worrying trends of high levels of attempted suicides highlighted by the recent investigation by Stephen Sachur in First Nation Communities; offers solidarity to those communities specifically the First Nation of Attawapiskat; and calls on the Federal and Provincial Governments of Canada to work in partnership with First Nations to address these profound inequalities.
