That this House congratulates Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex for hosting a successful school ski competition, attracting entrants from all over Scotland; notes the success of the facility since the upgrade and installation of a new slope; welcomes the fact that the success of the facility since transfer to a community managed and operated facility has been recognised by Social Investment Scotland and featured within its Social Impact Report 2015; further congratulates St Sophia's School on its award of £3,338 from Awards for All to allow its pupils to participate in lessons at the facility; and pays tribute to the Chairperson, Bobby Pollack, and his associated hardworking volunteers, who saved the ski slope and turned a dream into a reality by creating a first-class sports facility within a village population of 3,000.
