That this House welcomes and supports plans to celebrate the 31st annual Volunteers Week from 1 to 7 June 2015; congratulates the national bodies for volunteering, Volunteer Scotland, National Council for Voluntary Organisations, Volunteer Now and Wales Council for Voluntary Action as they seek to support and develop volunteering across the nations of the UK; recognises and celebrates what it sees as the value of volunteering; and believes that through the promotion of civic democracy based on the principles of freedom of expression and association, volunteering supports and enhances life in the communities of the UK.
