MS Therapy Centre Receive Queens Award

EDM number 1220 in 2015-16, proposed by Chris Law on 08/03/2016.
Categorised under the topics of Diseases, Health services and Voluntary organisations.

That this House congratulates Tayside MS Therapy Centre in Dundee which has received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service; commends the group of volunteers who have been dedicated to improving the lives of sufferers of multiple sclerosis since 1982; notes that the group, which was formed to use hyperbaric oxygen treatment, has been replicated by 64 therapy centres throughout the UK; recognises that the group offers an extensive array of therapies, including hyperbaric oxygen treatment, locally, which allows MS sufferers to manage their wide range of symptoms without a great deal of upheaval; and further recognises the hard work of the group's volunteers and staff who have effectively adapted their range of skills and accessibility over the last 34 years to keep up with the extensive needs of patients.
