Nch Growing Strong Campaign

EDM number 204 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 12/11/2007.
Categorised under the topics of Children's social services, Health services and Mental health.

That this House supports the Growing Strong campaign by NCH, the children's charity, to highlight the huge impact emotional wellbeing has on the life outcomes of children and young people; recognises the increasing importance of the link between emotional wellbeing and social mobility; believes that urgent action needs to be taken to address the emotional health of children and young people, particularly the most vulnerable; calls on central and local government to ensure that the emotional development and needs of children and young people are given a greater priority in delivery of children's services; and further believes that all organisations such as the NHS and private and voluntary organisations working with children and young people should do more to promote emotional wellbeing.
