Price Of Premiership Season Tickets

That this House recognises the excellent quality of football in the English Premiership and popularity it commands; wishes the growth and success of the Premiership to continue but in a sustainable way; regrets that season tickets to see top football clubs in England are the most expensive in Europe and cost four times more than in Germany, Holland and World-Cup winning Italy; further regrets that individual tickets are also beyond the reach of many fans; welcomes the comments of the Sports Minister criticising `sky-high ticket prices'; and urges the Premier League to use at least some of the extra Â£325 million it has recently obtained in overseas TV rights to reduce ticket prices.
