Police Force Cuts In Cumbria
EDM number 837 in 2006-07, proposed by Timothy Farron on 06/02/2007.
That this House notes with concern plans to cut significantly the number of police officers in Cumbria over the next four years and recruit in their place more police community support officers (PCSOs); recognises the valuable work done by PCSOs around the country; and further notes that this work is best done as a supplement to the work of sworn police officers and not as a replacement for it.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
