Litter On Railway Sites

EDM number 824 in 2006-07, proposed by David Crausby on 05/02/2007.

That this House notes with concern the unacceptable problem of fly-tipping and litter on railway embankments and stations and on land adjacent to railways; further notes that the problem is exacerbated because the land is often owned by different authorities; and calls on the Government to bring forward measures that bring contractors under one umbrella by introducing regulations requiring landowners to work in partnership when cleaning their individually-owned sites.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
