Disclosure Of Surrey Police Deepcut Report
EDM number 926 in 2005-06, proposed by Lembit Opik on 02/11/2005.
That this House is extremely concerned about the continuing refusal of Surrey Police to publish the completed report conducted by Devon & Cornwall Police into Surrey Police's handling of the investigations into the deaths at Deepcut Army Barracks; fails to understand why Surrey Police is refusing to publish it; recognises that this refusal only serves to heighten suspicions amongst the parents of the recruits who died at Deepcut that Surrey Police is attempting to suppress damaging revelations about its handling of the investigations; and calls on the Home Secretary to intervene in order to ensure the full disclosure of the report.
