That this House condemns the decision of Post Office Ltd to close the Loughborough Road Post Office in Brixton; highlights the damage that eliminating this valued local service will do to the economic development of an already deprived area; notes the irony of the closure in an area in receipt of regeneration funds; is concerned at the social damage that will be done to the local community; and calls on Post Office Ltd to consider more closely the concerns of Postwatch in addressing the future of urban post offices.
