Welsh Regiments

EDM number 88 in 2004-05, proposed by Bill Wiggin on 23/11/2004.

That this House sees no need to amalgamate or abolish any regiment, especially with regard to The Royal Welch Fusiliers and the Royal regiment of Wales; and believes that, if the two battalions are to merge, they should be permitted to use the battalion names Royal Welch Fusiliers and Royal Regiment of Wales before the new regimental name, which would be shown in brackets, in the same way as the Household Division does at the moment.

This motion has been signed by a total of 47 MPs.
