Tetra Radio Masts And Tv Interference
EDM number 860 in 2004-05, proposed by Albert Owen on 09/03/2005.
That this House notes with concern that many households experience interference to analogue terrestrial television reception as a direct consequence of Airwave TETRA systems being rolled out across the UK; notes that such interference requires households to install suitable filters at their own expense which is both costly and unjust; and calls on Ofcom to impose strict conditions on the installation companies of the TETRA masts such as O2 Airwave to fit a filter at the TETRA source.
