1st Battalion Of The Princess Of Wales Royal Regiment

EDM number 481 in 2004-05, proposed by Charles Hendry on 12/01/2005.

That this House pays tribute to the 1st Battalion of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment on completion of its outstanding period of service in Iraq; recognises the bravery, courage and professionalism of each serving soldier in highly dangerous circumstances; sends its sympathy and thoughts to the family and friends of the Battalion member who was killed during service and to the 48 men who were injured on duty; notes the contribution of the 2nd and Territorial Battalions to the success of the Regiment; and hopes for a peaceful and restful period with their families for those Battalion members who have returned from Iraq.
