EDM number 160 in 2004-05, proposed by Parmjit Dhanda on 24/11/2004.

That this House congratulates the mental health charity Mind on its continuing work to promote treatment choice for people seeking help for for mental health problems, including alternatives to drug treatments; supports Mind's view that the experience of consumers must be central to modern system for the licensing and regulation of prescription medicines; and agrees that reports of adverse reactions by consumers must be given at least an equal weight by the regulator as the clinical trials data supplied by pharmaceutical companies.
