Gm Crops

EDM number 114 in 2004-05, proposed by James Paice on 23/11/2004.

That this House notes the Government's approval in principle for one variety of GM crop but deplores its complete failure to produce the necessary rules on cross-contamination between GM and non-GM crops; believes that issues of liability for cross-contamination must be resolved before any further approval is given; believes that all future GM crop trials and any other GM planting must be carried out in accordance with such rules and liabilities; and believes that all consumers must be able to choose whether to eat the produce of GM crops through clear labelling of all foods containing GM ingredients.

This motion has been signed by a total of 85 MPs.
