Eu Directive On Marine Diesel Taxation

EDM number 993 in 2003-04, proposed by Bob Spink on 19/04/2004.

That this House deplores the interference of the EU in the taxation of energy products and marine diesel in particular; and calls on the Government to find a way to prevent the anticipated trebling of the price of marine diesel which could occur over the next three years as a result of the EU Directive to restructure the taxation of diesel and the expiry of the United Kingdom's derogation at the end of 2006.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
