Restrictions On Motorists

EDM number 40 in 2003-04, proposed by Damian Green on 26/11/2003.

That this House condemns the Labour London mayoral candidate's plan to restrict motorists from using their cars in the outer boroughs of the capital; notes the comments of the Executive Director of the RAC Foundation, Edmund King, who said that giving priority to buses and banning cars on main roads was not dealing with reality; and believes that people in outer London need their cars because often public transport does not go where they want to go.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs.
