Digital Television Transfer Costs

That this House notes that, in the modern world most, if not all, of the nation's pensioners, disabled and unemployed, are reliant upon television broadcasting in their everyday lives; is concerned that, unlike other European nations, the government has not so far announced any financial or other support to help such citizens convert from current analogue services onto the digital network; and believes that urgent steps should be taken to amend this situation.
