Equal Pay

That this House notes with deep concern a GMB survey which notes that women earn almost ú100 a week less than male counterparts, even though they make up 50.3 per cent of all employees in Wales; further notes that equal pay legislation was made law 30 years ago, yet women continue to be discriminated against in terms of work payment; supports the GMB's demand that private companies should conduct equal pay audits; and calls on the Government to introduce further measures to secure equality for women in the workplace.
