Home Responsibilities Protection

That this House calls on the Government to extend entitlement to home responsibilities protection to all foster carers for the entire length of time that they have been fostering to help them build up contributions towards a full state pension; believes that all foster carers who give up work to look after foster children are entitled to receive the same amount of pension as a parent who gives up work to look after their own child; and further believes that the current system operates unfairly towards many foster carers and fails to reflect the importance of their work.
