Care Home VAT

EDM number 37 in 2001-02, proposed by Paul Burstow on 27/06/2001.

That this House notes with concern a decision by the London VAT Tribunal that will add VAT charges to care home bills; believes this decision would result in uneven treatment between home care and residential care; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to remove any uncertainty by amending VAT regulations.

This motion has been signed by a total of 54 MPs.
