Human Cloning

That this House recalls the careful and thoughtful consideration given by honourable Members to the issue of therapeutic cloning; believes that many honourable and Right honourable Members supported the regulation of therapeutic cloning on the basis that full human cloning would be banned; is therefore concerned that no proposal for legislation was included in the Government's programme; and accordingly urges ministers to prepare a draft Bill forthwith, to facilitate its scrutiny by an appropriate Select Committee, and to move to legislation as soon as possible.
