Organic Action Plan

EDM number 1768 in 2001-02, proposed by Joan Ruddock on 16/10/2002.

That this House welcomes the announcement of an action plan for organic farming in England, and the target for the market share of British organic produce to increase from 30 per cent. to 70 per cent.; believes that this target is achievable as 74 per cent. of non-organic produce is already home produced; and therefore calls on the Government to put in place a programme of action to ensure the target is met by 2010.

This motion has been signed by a total of 59 MPs.
