That this House welcomes the Fostering Network's national recruitment campaign, 'Foster Care Fortnight'; notes that there is currently a shortage of 8,000 foster carers across the United Kingdom who are desperately needed in order to provide a choice of placements to the 45,000 children and young people who are in foster care; acknowledges the excellent work that existing foster carers do; and calls on the Government for increased recognition and support for foster carers.
