Ethical Threads And Remploy Production Of Glastonbury T-Shirts
EDM number 1115 in 2001-02, proposed by Paul Holmes on 11/04/2002.
That this House congratulates the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival on their decision to sell thousands of T-shirts produced by the Ethical Threads clothing company, using the labour of Remploy, the UK's biggest employer of disabled workers, and using ethically sourced cotton from Bangladesh; and shares Ethical Threads' chief officer Geoff Martin's desire to see the whole of the merchandise industry applying clear ethical standards.
