leave out from 'House' to end and add 'welcomes the latest initiative of the Secretary General of the United Nations to bring about a resolution of the Cyprus problem on terms which will be just to both Greek and Turkish Cypriots; and calls upon the Turkish Cypriot side to remove the precondition that they be recognised as a sovereign state, which would effectively legalise an armed invasion and occupation, and to thereby open the way to a future of peace and prosperity for all the common citizens of Cyprus.'.
