leave out from `House' to end and add `welcomes the resolve of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's Government to settle political issues by political means; her offer of dialogue to former Prime Minister and opposition leader Nawaz Sharif and the current negotiations between the ruling Pakistan People's Party and MQM (Altaf Group) at the government's initiative aimed at resolving the Karachi problem; further notes that the democratically elected Government is facing terrorism in Karachi which is politically inspired along ethnic and sectarian lines; further welcomes the Governments determination to combat terrorism and improve the economic conditions of Karachi; condemns the reckless killings of innocent people by terrorists in Karachi; further notes the agreement reached on 16th July by the Government and MQM not to further inflame the situation; and calls upon both the Government and the Opposition to co-operate to restore peace and normality in Karachi.'.(Relevant registered interest declared)
