Conservative Party And Status Of New Forest;amdt. Line 2:

EDM number 1151A1 in 1993-94, proposed by Patrick McNair-Wilson on 23/05/1994.

leave out from 'Forest,' to end and add 'welcomes the recent visit to the New Forest of the Minister for the Environment, and the Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and looks forward to a statement from the Government when all the important issues have been resolved, including the effect upon those who live by commoning and are threatened by gravel extraction; deprecates ill informed comments by those who have sought to introduce party politics into this issue; notes that the Annual General Meeting of the New Forest Conservative Association was held on 25th March, when the guest speaker was Mr Edward Kellett-Bowman M.E.P., and in which neither he nor anyone else at the meeting referred to the future of the New Forest, or the proposed Heritage Area, nor were any letters or other documents on this matter distributed by anyone; notes that any letters on this subject which have been sent to the Minister for the Environment by the Honourable Member for the New Forest have been passed on to ensure that all relevant views have been taken into account by the Government; would deplore the use of Parliamentary Privilege to blacken the names of individuals who cannot answer in similar vein.'.

This is a ammendment to 1151.
