Conservative Support For An Independent Pay Review Body For University Staff
EDM number 815 in 1991-92, proposed by Matthew Taylor on 05/03/1992.
That this House welcomes the calls for an independent pay review body for university academic and related staff; is pleased to note that more than 70 honourable Members have signed Early Day Motion number 597 calling for such a review body; further notes that a substantial number of these honourable Members are Conservatives; regrets that none of these Conservative honourable Members voted for such a review body at the report stage of the Further and Higher Education Bill; and calls on all Conservative honourable Members who signed Early Day Motion 597, but did not vote for a review body, to withdraw their names from the said motion.
This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
