Opencast Coalmining At Pwll Du

That this House deplores British Coal's application to undertake open-cast coalmining at Pwll Du, near Abergavenny; considers the potential threat on the environment, human health and on local communities to be totally unacceptable; supports the residents of Llanelly Hill, Clydach, Gilwern Govilon and Abergavenny in their opposition to the proposals; and calls on the Secretary of State for Wales to reject British Coal's application.
