Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'appreciates that the study of history calls for the development of a widening range of intellectual skills in which purposeful questioning is to the fore; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Education and Science to help create conditions in which those teaching history in schools are aware that any basic starting blocks of historical detail they ask their pupils to accept may in time need to be subjected to rigorous intellectual questioning, investigation and re-assessment.'.
