Education Services In Warwickshire
EDM number 383 in 1990-91, proposed by Matthew Taylor on 30/01/1991.
That this House notes that the Government's provision for capital spending on schools in Warwickshire is the lowest for any county in England for the second year running; further notes that the Tory-controlled Warwickshire County Council is targeting cuts in their education budget for 1991-92 at the most vulnerable groups of young people, particularly the under-fives, in nursery classes in schools, children with special needs, those on National Curriculum courses and the 16 to 19 year olds in further education colleges and youth centres; therefore believes that the Conservative Party locally and nationally has proved itself unfit to have responsibility for education in Warwickshire; and supports Warwickshire Liberal Democrats in their efforts to protect Warwickshire education services.
This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
