Protection For Mobile Home Residents

EDM number 303 in 1990-91, proposed by Ronnie Fearn on 16/01/1991.

That this House notes the efforts of the National Association of Park Home Residents and many local campaigns to change serious loopholes in the Mobile Homes Act 1983 in order to give mobile home owners the same rights and protection under the law enjoyed by traditional home owners; and, in recognition of the importance of mobile homes in today's situation, calls upon the Government to amend the said Act and the model standards governing mobile home sites and to ensure that local councils who issue site licences honour the conditions of the licence.
