Education Cuts In Derbyshire
EDM number 1015 in 1990-91, proposed by Matthew Taylor on 20/06/1991.
That this House deplores choices made by Derbyshire County Council in coping with Government-imposed cuts in total spending; in particular, deplores the Council's decisions to maintain publication of its "Insight" publicity sheet and to fail to increase charges for services in line with increases in benefits while, at the same time, deciding to make cuts in the education budget, such as reducing the staffing at Thornsett County Primary School; and calls on Derbyshire County Council to reconsider its priorities.
This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
