Leave out from 'Government' to end and add 'to Latin America over the last fifty years, particularly when recalling the part that Britain played in the independence struggle and subsequent economic development of the region; notes that almost all the Republics have restored the democratic process; and calls on both the British Government and the European Community to afford Latin America a higher priority in terms of trading and export finance conditions and of political and cultural relationships.'.
