Daily Mirror And War Widows

EDM number 149 in 1989-90, proposed by James Wallace on 05/12/1989.

That this House congratulates the Daily Mirror on its campaign on behalf of Britain's war widows; notes that war widows in West Germany receive a much higher pension than those in the United Kingdom; also notes the proposed ú6,000 a year increase in the Prime Minister's own pension; and calls upon the Government to take action to ensure that all war widows are treated equally at the earliest opportunity.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
