The Conservative Party, War Widows And Nhs Reforms

EDM number 124 in 1989-90, proposed by Archy Kirkwood on 30/11/1989.

That this House notes it would cost ú200 million per year to ensure that all war widows were treated equally; deplores the fact that Her Majesty's Government has rejected this act of justice on grounds of cost; further notes that Her Majesty's Government has committed ú200 million for the extra bureaucracy needed to implement their health proposals; and believes that it is typical of the Conservative Party that money will always be found to impose its ideology, but not for those in genuine need.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
