Mushrooms

EDM number 1047 in 1989-90, proposed by Menzies Campbell on 23/05/1990.

That this House notes the successful promotion of British mushroom which has resulted in recent years in a tripling of consumption; further notes that the irradiation of mushrooms does not increase their shelf life and offers no benefit to the consumer; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to ensure that the irradiation of mushrooms and of fresh fruit and vegetables is prohibited.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
