Hospital Car Parking Profits

EDM number 904 in 2017-19, proposed by Robert Halfon on 05/02/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Health services and Roads.

That this House notes that hospitals make up to £500,000 a day in car parking charges; is disappointed to learn, as published in the Daily Mirror on 28 December 2017, that a very small proportion of that money goes to healthcare spending; further notes the involvement of for-profit contractors in hospital car parking; and therefore urges the Government to scrap car parking charges at NHS hospitals in England.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
