Hospital Car Parking Charges And Fairfueluk Survey Support

EDM number 832 in 2017-19, proposed by Robert Halfon on 22/01/2018.
Categorised under the topics of Health services and Roads.

That this House notes that 95.5 per cent of over 9,000 respondents to a recent FairFuelUK survey were in favour of abolishing car parking charges in NHS hospitals; recognises that hospital car parking charges are a financial burden that affect patients and visitors at an already vulnerable time; further notes that doctors, nurses and staff at NHS hospitals in England are unfairly hit by these charges simply by turning up to work in our public services; and therefore urges the Government to abolish car park charges for patients, visitors and staff at NHS hospitals in England.
