That this House congratulates the volunteers from the Maryhill Heritage Choir on their publication of The Maryhill Songbook which brings together newly-composed music inspired by Victorian era Scots language poems from the Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust collection; notes the poetry, relating to Maryhill, was originally published in newspapers and newsletters such as the Dumbarton Herald and the Old Maryhill Dinner Scrapbook; further notes the music will be made accessible to the community through public performance, recordings for an audio visual display at the Burgh Halls and through the publication of the works as a songbook; commends all of those involved in this project; and encourages members of the local community to get involved and support The Maryhill Songbook.
