That this House congratulates Ayrshire Independent Living Network on being awarded Best Disability Group at the inaugural Scottish Diversity Awards, which seek to promote the importance of equality in today's society and recognise our cultural diversity; notes the valuable contribution made by all the finalists; commends the hard work, dedication and determination of AILN's peer-led board, staff and volunteers in providing high quality Self-directed Support advice and information to the people of Ayrshire; acknowledges the importance of empowering people to become equal partners in their care and support decisions and the impact this has on their ability to participate in education, work and social life; and recognises Ayrshire Independent Living Network's role in creating change in the way that community care services are offered to people across Ayrshire.
