Closure Of RBS And Natwest Bank Branches
EDM number 625 in 2017-19, proposed by Martin Whitfield on 01/12/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Financial institutions and Financial services.
That this House regrets the latest round of proposed RBS and NatWest branch closures across the UK; believes that such closures are damaging to local RBS and NatWest customers, businesses, community groups and the entire local community; and further believes that the public are entitled to expect better from a bank which is still largely owned by the taxpayer, and that RBS and other high street banks should work with Government and local communities to find alternatives to local branch closures in order to maintain local banking options.
