That this House recognises the contribution that the Reverend David Cooper has made to the lives of people across the UK through his ordained Ministry, starting in 1978 and working in both England and Scotland; further recognises Reverend Cooper's Ministry in Shetland where, through his warmth and compassion, he has become a respected figure whose Ministry in the community will be missed; recognises the impact of his Ministry seen beyond Shetland through the BBC series An Island Parish; thanks him for his Ministry across the whole of the UK; and wishes him and his wife Veronica a happy retirement.
